Tufenkian and Mérieux Provide aid to 119 families in Khnushinak

Tufenkian and Mérieux Provide aid to 119 families in Khnushinak

KHNUSHINAK, Martuni, Artsakh (TUFENKIAN FOUNDATION)—On Feb. 8, the Tufenkian Foundation continued its mission in Artsakh’s Martuni region, providing humanitarian aid to the residents of Khnushinak village.

Thanks to our partnership with the Lyon-based Fondation Mérieux, 119 families in Khnushinak were provided with food packages, which included flour, rice, buckwheat, pasta, oil, and other staples.

From its very beginning in 1967, the Mérieux Foundation has united public and private sector partners around a common mission. Active today in over 20 countries, the Foundation works to strengthen the skills of healthcare professionals in the field to ensure its programs have a long-lasting impact. It catalyzes local and international initiatives to help the most vulnerable populations gain fairer access to healthcare.

This was the latest distribution, following a delivery of humanitarian assistance to 96 families in the village of Machkalashen. Read more about the Machkalashen distribution here.

Below are photos of the Feb. 8 distribution, provided by the Artsakh Press.
