Hope and a Home: A Documentary on How Artsakh Families Rebuild Life in Syunik

Hope and a Home: A Documentary on How Artsakh Families Rebuild Life in Syunik

After the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of the people of Artsakh in 2023, Armenians around the world were left with the same painful question: What now?

Over the past two years, the Tufenkian Foundation has stood alongside forcibly displaced families as they rebuild their lives in the face of profound loss, instability, and uncertainty. Families like Aram and Bella Grigoryan and Arman Mirzoyan and Ulyana Grigoryan, originally from the Martakert region of Artsakh, are raising young children while carrying the weight of displacement from their ancestral homeland.

While the world moved on, one urgent and unmet need remained clear: resettlement. In this documentary, these families share their personal stories of survival, resilience, and hope— we ask why sustainable resettlement is essential for securing a future with dignity, safety, and opportunity. Listen to their voices.

Learn why resettlement matters. Stand with displaced Artsakh families.
