“Ashes of Our Fathers” Armenian Edition Unveiled Ahead Artsakh Armenians’ Deportation Anniversary

“Ashes of Our Fathers” Armenian Edition Unveiled Ahead Artsakh Armenians’ Deportation Anniversary

The Armenian edition of “Ashes of Our Fathers: Inside the Fall of Nagorno-Karabakh” by British journalist and Politico correspondent Gabriel Gavin was unveiled on September 18, 2025, on the eve of the second anniversary of the deportation of 120,000 Armenians from Artsakh.

The Armenian translation was made possible with support from the Tufenkian Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. It was translated by Maria Sadoyan, edited by Nunik Avetisyan, and published by Mediamax Media Company.

In the book, Gavin, writing through the lens of an eyewitness, chronicles the course of events from the 44-day war in Artsakh in 2020 to the mass deportation of Armenians from their homes in September 2023.

“Ashes of Our Fathers: Inside the Fall of Nagorno-Karabakh” is available for purchase online at Mediamax.am and at bookstores, including Bookinist and Zangak.
